This thing rips. Install was easy on my rig. @SXTH Element killed it as always.
Also it takes in cold air from the wheel well, which the stock intake does not.
10/10 happy customer.
If only they had a pre-sale discount going for their intercooler upgrade... đź‘€
Ended up with a different approach.
I decided I only need the front camera when I am driving in treacherous terrain, and during that time, I also do NOT need a rear view mirror.
Bought this on flash sale today: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0811Q28N6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
The idea is...
So you got the anytime switch working on the rear view camera, without interrupting the normal functionality of the camera when you switch into reverse.
The reason you didn't move forward with the forward facing camera was because of the mounting location/angle? When did that project die? I am...
Openroad Panther 3S? I have the same one and am planning to install it with the CBI bumper as well, good to see they're compatible! How much cutting was required for the install? Can you share the install instructions, maybe in a PDF? I'm waiting for black friday to save some $$ on the bumper haha.
@vready how did you wire power? Looking to replicate your process exactly. Any concern with the compressor drawing battery power even when the vehicle is off?
AMAZING writeup, and as an engineer with 3D print experience, super helpful to have an STL file to work with.
One thing I will say, the STL file has dimensions in the *thousands* of millimeters (15,000mm = 1500cm) and the model ended up being gigantic. Not a problem as I can just scale it down...

This looks great on the Tacoma, but unfortunately I don't think it will work on the 4Runner. Despite being based on the same platform, the metal bumper on the 4Runner is significantly different than that of the Tacoma. I took a look under the bumper when I installed a different mod, and it looks...
@Mad Ghost Don't think I forgot about you! Just had to wait till night time to get the lights on video. Personally I think they are super super bright compared to the OEM, and I especially love the turn signal feature and the yellow light. I basically constantly have them on the yellow light...
@Bernie I like it, got it on sale and had it for a while. Charges up in the back with the included AC adapter into the plug in the back. Hybrid for the win.

@mightysnopants easy to pop off the mirrors, this thread helped: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/sequential-turn-signal-lights-by-4runner-lifestyle-installed-ft-vinyl-wrapped-gas-cap-cover.3144/
The mindset of this build: Bang for the buck. How capable can I make the new 4Runner platform, without spending way too much on parts? The solution: find stuff that WORKS, without breaking the bank, prioritizing function over form where I can.
Starting off with the TRD Off-Road Hybrid trim...

I put an ungodly amount of force into the overhead console to try and remove it and install the map lights, almost ended up breaking it. NOT as easy as "just pull it down."
What was your strategy, @Van Solo?
