I’ve not noticed them being loud, this is the 3rd 4Runner I’ve owned and I think they were all the same. Auto wipers I miss- it only takes having one vehicle with them to make it a must have, lol.
Mine was missing the rear cover as well. I ended up putting the front 2 bolts and the back 2 bolts and then ordering the bolt kit from the dealership at the same time as the transmission skid plate. The front plate will be fine with 4 bolts until you can pick up the kit, or 2 other bolts from...
I haven't really noticed the hard plastics much at all. I usually drive with my left hand (habit developed during the days of manual transmissions) so my right arm is usually on the center console anyway. I have noticed the rattle with the bass frequencies in the door as well.
Nice. I've got a spare SR5 rim that I got off ebay as well. I'm going to put a 255/75 under there, so I bet it will fit easily. No idea what to do with the donut spare, lol.
Last tank was finally no city driving. It was a mix of high speed highway, moderate and low speed 2 lane and a bit of 4WD. Normal drive mode, 87 octane and 23.6mpg calculated.
I noticed that they had a slightly different model on sale as well. I keep mine folded up in my closet, but previously I’ve had to rent a storage unit for my camping gear. Definitely not ideal. But I sold my house when I got divorced you do what ya gotta do.
I originally bought this cot to use in my 5th gen, which as we know, has a different folding mechanism for the second row. I finally got around to trying to fit it into the 6th gen (non-hybrid) and it fits. Keep in mind this is a huge cot, I’m 6’6” and I fit perfectly. There are 3 sets of legs...
I’m just over 2000 miles on my SR5, mainly city driving on 87 octane. Mostly normal mode after getting past the break in period. I’m right at 20.7 mpg average after correcting for bigger tires. This is right about what I’d expect for monthly city driving according to the EPA numbers. My 5th gen...
I did it on my 5th gen, which was also white. Terrible idea, lol. I could see the line where the film was all the time because it takes just a tiny bit of dirt/dust for the line to show up on white. For dark colors it's less of an issue, but I wouldn't do it on a white vehicle again.
I dig it. I had 2 4Runners with the 5 speed and this is much better -- for sure. FWIW, the clunky stop and go downshift is very similar to what I encountered in the last Mazda I owned (CX50 Turbo). I think if you are really soft on the gas petal it happens more often. I DID NOT notice this while...
