You can pretty much defeat anything, it just depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it and if you'll get caught before you're done.

The hood does not automatically open like the back hatch. The best solution is a steering wheel lock. Like one from Winner International called The Club 3000.

My other car is a Tesla that has a 15" center mounted display. I've driven that car at one point for 1,500 miles straight (not including charging and cat naps). While driving through the night the screen never bothered me. You get used to it.
