That makes sense. I can see the logic in both POV. I change oil every 5k but on my Civic I did the 1st oil change @ 7,500 miles going with the wait b/c of "break in oil" logic. Well shit, now IDK what to do haha. I'm at ~650 miles
Excuse my ignorance but why do an oil change so early?
I was under the impression that the first oil change should be done later than normal because the oil in a brand new car has additional additives to help with the break in process? At least that's what I've read.
Was wondering if anyone knows how much the stock 20" wheels weigh on the Limited trim? Looking to replace them and want to shed some weight with lighter wheels. Want to keep all other specs identical.
The Limited trim comes stock with 265/55/20 so they are the OEM tire/wheels. I believe the Platinum trim is also running this size as well as the TRD Sport as @theo mentioned.
No need since I'm going 2 MPH slower than speedometer reading. This actually works out perfectly since wifey has a lead...
As the title reads, I think my speedometer is off my +2 MPH. I set my cruise control to 77 MPH and I discovered the possibility of it being off by 3 different speed readings that I'll list in order of discovery.
Waze App. I noticed that my Waze was showing me at 75 MPH not 77. I don't know how...
Got back and 21.2 MPG was the reading. So for the round trip avg was 20.3
I'll measure at a CC setting of 65 and see what that nets in the coming weeks
Hi everyone,
New member here, although I am a member of the civicx forum, same username. Hope to learn and contribute to this forum and congrats to all who've had the luck to land one of these 6th Gens.
Got her last night.
I'm not sure what they test/rate at in terms of speed. And you're right, 77 is a little high.
Just started the journey back, 45 miles in on a 250 mile trip. CC @ 77 and getting 21.2 ATM
Took possession of a Limited i Force Max last night and drove to Vegas afterwards.
Took off late night so absolutely no traffic. Set cruise control to 77 MPH and got 19.4 MPG according to dashboard MPG. Load was only 3 people and a few bags, nothing crazy.
Not near the advertised 24 MPG HWY was...
