Thatās Audi, VW and BMW though. Do you see any of that on the Toyota forums? Thereās a OTT guy on this forum, so I hope he weighs in. OTT has had zero issues with their tuning. Also, their tunes leave no traces. The dealership wonāt know unless you tell them.
I hear you. Iād encourage you to do your own research, but everything Iāve read indicates your warranty wonāt be void as the result of modifications. However, find people who know what theyāre doing. Donāt find a guy on Craigās List to do the work. Stick with skilled professionals.
I took mine at 1k to my local mechanic, b/c the salesman told me I would struggle to have oil changed at the 5k mark. I really donāt want to beg people to take my money or spend a lot of time showing someone they are wrong.
I decided to get the bumper from Rago Fabrication. My installation is in 2 weeks as I donāt have the knowledge nor patience to do something like this on my own.
Just as an FYI, if you want to do this and also considering the intercooler replacement from SXTH Element, do both installs at the...
From 60 - 80 on the interstate, the gas powered 4Runner does great! Iām still in awe at the performance of this little 4 banger. Iāve been on a couple 350 mile trips, and my wife had to tell me to calm down a bit. ??
I didnāt put it in the sport drive mode until this weekend. Man, itās just...
Hereās the deal with the hybridā¦. 10 year warranty. If it breaks at anytime, youāre not stuck. Itās meant to supplement the engine, give you additional HP. So, if youāre at year 12, and it gives out, you have a gas powered vehicle if you choose to not fix it. Look into it if youāre on the...
Yes! The performance with the gas engine is great! Iāve also been looking at getting the cold air intake from SXTH Element and OTT tune which will bring the HP and torque up considerably. As it stands with those modifications, you will see over 330 hp and 400+ lb/ft of torque.
Someone on here or one of the Facebook groups changed all of the fluids. It seems like overkill, but who knows? I had my oil changed at just over 1,000 at a local shop that I use all the time. Iāll have him change again at the 3k mark. Weāll see if the dealership wants to touch it at 5k...
This is my first 4Runner, so I canāt compare them. However, Iām loving this 6th gen so far! The payments And taxesā¦. Those are the only negatives.
I have the TRD ORP, so I donāt have aux switches. However, I found aux switches to fit in one of the slots at stickerfab.com. Iāll post pictures of my build when itās finished. Thank you for answering my questions! Iām hoping others find some of this information useful.
I created another...
I ended up ordering one of their light bars. The customer service representative did say some people are fabricating their own cover for that hole.
Did you have that light bar wired in with the fog lights, or did you wire it into an auxiliary switch?
Iām having the front bumper with a winch from Rago Fabrication installed soon. Has anyone installed the rear bumper yet? It looks great, and Iāve seen a few people complaining about the factory bumper in a few threads already...
Iām calling them today. I havenāt seen any without the light bar, so do they have a version without the hole for the light bar? I could just wait until it arrives and open it myself, but that video you posted unpacking it makes me want to leave it alone until I get it to the installer.
Good looking build! My bumper arrives tomorrow. Iām having second thoughts about the light bar now. I ordered it without it, but I still have. a couple more weeks before I have it installed. Order the light kit or not?
Thatās not a bad idea. I looked for one but couldnāt find one that I really liked that was portable enough. i bought the setup from Rago Fabrication, and the bumper arrives tomorrow. Iām not too handy at installing this kind of stuff on my own, so it will probably be a few weeks before I get...
