Unlike 5th gen where it was threaded on the side of the frame, the threads I saw on the bottom of the frame match up with what Westcott did for their sliders
This has been bothering me I asked an aftermarket company who is developing parts and they said it does have threaded mounting locations so I finally laid under it and looked with a head lamp and yes there are spots on then Frame maybe every foot that are open and threaded just waiting for...
oooo no I forgot some models have a manual lift gate.... I guess just lift up gently sorry I was trying to be helpful. Maybe glue on a piece of Foam to the rear of the Yakima box
I'm pretty sure both these apply but at this time of the night I'm too lazy to go outside and double check. I do remember seeing the first option because I was worried about it hitting my garage and left it alone.
I have the yakima SkyBox 16 Carbonite. Guess I'll be doing a test fit tomorrow. On mine you can adjust the "feet" of the box forward or back to help fit. Also how far open can you go before the tailgate hits? There are adjustment settings like if you can do 90% not a bid deal to set it for that...
DO IT..... it's been amazing so far in 2 months of ownership and yes it's a big price jump compared to say a similar sized highlander but it is built tougher
I haven't been in both but watched just about every single video that came out show caseing the new model and no one ever mentioned a difference in rear seats. My money is on the front 2 rows being the same.
Westcott Designs I've heard good things and is sitting at my house when I can find a day to get it installed I will report back, but is supposed to keep the geometry and stuff the same so you don't wear things out, look for the pre load collar lift thread and costs about 500
I live down at sea level and know in Colorado and higher elevations, usually your gas stations have gas starting at 85 octane. What do you fill your tank with? I'll be visiting in about a month.
I also recommend adding the Screen Protech kit cuts down either way on glare and finger prints. I will say I had a bubble right under the 80 on the speedo and after a month it went away. Yes I sent the link to the Tacoma kit because for some reason in it includes protection for the shifter...
Toyota totally changed the cup holders... I tried the AJT Design from the Taco and instead of screws it has clips I even sent them my cup holders to see if there was an easy fix but they told me they would also need the center arm rest to try to engineer something. So for now we are stuck...
I was ready to buy at $211 like the Land Cruiser but at 300 plus price is nuts (if I'm generous $50 to produce is my bet).. I might go with the non flexible Toyota mud guards for 110.
It is Thicker paint... my brother in-law is a Toyota sales manager and that's what he told me, something like 7 layers vs 3. you find it on their trucks
