The first two hundred miles on the truck were abysmal. Trips were ranging 15-18 mpg. I assumed it was load (we went camping and were hauling 3 bikes). Locality is also very hilly so I coughed it up to that - traffic plus up and down is bad mileage.
This weekend went on a roadtrip from sea level all the way up to 7000ft. This was on eco and got 22mpg, highest Iāve ever seen. I changed the dash controls to better understand the car having the mpg readout on the right and the turbo dial on the left. Usual suspects -> lead foot -> turbo -> low mpg. On this type of roadtrip Iām typically driving very fast but this time I mimicked cruise control and did more easing to get this mpg.
Based on a lot of posts on here about MPG plus this most recent trip Iām leaning driver style vs. some kind of defect, especially 2nd tank onwards.
Love the car, love the luggable space and capability. Ready for summer!
