My 2¢… if you don’t need 4WD, don’t use it. Have VERY good winter tires (mounted on rims) like Bridgestone Blizzaks, drive sanely, leave lots of stopping room, carry chains and traction boards.

I’ve solved the problem. I don’t like leaving the dogs crated for a long time, but this will contain the mess. It won’t do much for the smell though. My white Wirehair has found that fresh cow pies are a delight to roll in. She’s white at the beginning of a hunt, sometimes green at the end.

I don’t hear a significant amount of wind noise, but plan on removing my crossbars and Skinny Warrior rack until I actually need them. We get frequent strong winds, and the impact to mileage is noticeable.

I really like the looks and fitment of the Canvasback, but hesitant to buy because of the Velcro attachment to the upholster. Have you noticed the hooks fuzzing out the carpet it attaches to?

Is anyone using fuel bladders? If so, brands, opinions? I’m thinking a bladder might be an easier to store option on the rack. I did order and install the Yakima Skinny Warrior, and it’s pretty tall for hefting and securing a NATO can.

I was a C and C++ programmer before going into senior leadership. Moved into C in 1985. Just wish the flow would have been well documented in the operators manual, and the dealership would have been more interested in seeing me get a good start.
