I love the truck & think it's one of the sharpest looking vehicles available today but I have my gripes & concerns about it also.
I'd not go with the TRD Air Filter. Just not worth the hassle & maintenance for the expensive price. You have to buy the filter & the kit to oil it after cleaning it. Unless you're racing your 4Runner 🤣 just stick with the OE paper filter or a Wix filter that are disposable. Much less of a pain...
Thanks for clarifying & contributing.
I'm a novice regarding exhaust systems but I would imagine that an “upgraded” exhaust on turbo 4 cyl engines would all sound pretty similar. I'm just most interested in the opinions & insights of those here who have heard & experienced specifically the “TRD...
As someone who had heard the stock & TRD performance cat-back exhaust back to back, you've said you personally & pretty strongly didn't like the TRD exhaust. Your opinion of course & I appreciate it especially because you've had the opportunity to hear both back to back in comparison. Thank you...
It's not a problem for me. I'm just curious to hear owners' opinions about it & whether most who reply like it or don't like it. It's all in the eye of the beholder...or in this case the ear of the beholder.
So do you own or have you heard (in person) the TRD Performance Cat-Back Exhaust in action?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone in here optioned for the “TRD Performance Cat-Back Exhaust” on their '25 or '26 4Runners?
I'd really like to read thoughts & opinions about this upgraded exhaust such as sound & potential performance gains. I'm wondering if it's worth the money & if the sound infiltrates...
Ahhh yes! I have a set of those. Something similar would be great for the cargo area and liftgate though a TPU or silicone material that are more forgiving of damages would be better.
