6th better driving dynamics. Not as much body sway and nose dive. Quicker too. Added power rear gate on upper trims and improved safety across the board.
5th gen- has the same axles on all trims and the interior is nicer (in terms of soft touch and less plastic look) in the cheaper ones...
My experience on the limited is the shocks are a little harsh. More so than I expected from the limited. Still a great vehicle. The interior is very nice.
I know the sr5 shocks are cheap or cheaper. But they do ride pretty smooth. Did you think about going that route? As far as finding some 6th gen SR5s used or buying new from Toyota?
I’ll check that out. Mine comes when you press down on the armrest. The portion toward the rear of the vehicle. The back third- when you press down it makes a loud squeak. Only time it does it. Is the sound coming from the armrest or the inside of the door? Not sure. Once again…thank you.
Anybody else experiencing a squeaking sound when your elbow presses down on the door armrest? Mine does it both sides same exact spot. What’s the fix.
Anybody have experience with this? I am considering the doors and the wheel wells. I’ve heard it can make the doors too heavy and make the cabin feel strange. I have also heard that it really improves the sound system and takes the edge off of the AT tires.
That’s good info. So maybe if the 4Runner is more dense, since it’s coming from a different supplier in Japan, it will break in as I put some miles on it.
I agree with this take . Seems the most logical . The seat architecture is the same so it would seem most of the materials are too. Just more accessorized (as you said) as you move up the trims. So my solutions lie within geometry adjustments.
