It is definitely worse the colder the temps are. Folks that live in cold climates are going to notice it more often and for longer as the tranny fluid gets up to temp. I had a GMC Canyon that was the worst for this. Just putting it into gear when it was cold was a loud thud and then the gears...
I have jeans older than 25 years...your attempt to impress me falls short! Sorry you failed to thoroughly test drive a truck before purchasing. I would've thought with all your experience you could've figured that out!
Well if you really feel that way then maybe you have a bad transmission? Either that or you are used to driving a dual clutch or Porche tranny and have unrealistic expectations from a truck. There is nothing wrong with my transmission. Is it a smooth shifting as my old GTI? Nope...but it is...
Well sometimes it comes to that. I went in on a Friday only 1.5 hrs before they closed and was willing to walk if I did not get what I wanted...they gave me what I wanted after their usual dealership games...but they were light attempts...I could tell the did not want to be there all night!

Yours is almost exactly like mine some different options but about the same total price. Mine was $ 48,112 and I paid almost $42600. Looks like the base price went up a little on the 2026. Those taxes and fees is what blows my mind! They are about 4x what we pay about NC. We only pay 3%...
I really don't think this is just a 6GEN issue. Every truck I have ever owned has been rough shifting until the transmission fluid warmed up. Cars not so much usually not a problem with cars but with trucks everyone I've ever driven has been like that.
