The Alu cab 180 awning is free standing so no need for poles i do put one out as it allows a little more head room. Un able to do a 270 as low mount RTT and awning directly mounts to tent would hit rear hatch.

If you go with the rear plate only the "storage area's front and rear are open. in the rear I have a Red dog tool role fits snugly and store a a few quick grab items on the other side. the jack and battery I still can get to without much issue as I had to use the jack once.
On the front side...
I'm approaching need to respring the rear end. not terrible off road did a 5/10 trail with some minor technical stuff with out issue, but did get a bit sway at interstate speed.
