i just went outside and looked at a brand new 2026 F150 tail lights and all it had was a p/n and api marking no "DOT" marking on it all.
the headlights had a VOR DOT marking
same for the 2025 ram 1500 for rear and headlights.

well cali cops just make up crap anyway for vehicle inspections. i mean they pull people over and state ref them from out of state visiting and expect the vehicle to conform to cali rules.

um toyota has been using 7pin connectors for a long time not just on the 4runner.
my 2014 had a 7pin requirement per the owners manual.
