I’ve heard mixed reviews of CBI, and RCI is local. I’ve had their rails on both this and my previous one, and they’ve held up really well.

THey're pretty stiff, I replaced mine with Rally Armor which are much more flexible. They do protect the paint for sure, and they also stop snow from getting on rock rails (not that you have that problem in CA).
