Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust sound clips (installed on non-hybrid gas 4Runner) - startup, highway, sport mode

Here some updates that I been living with it for a week.

I go to work really early and haven’t got any complaints about the noise starting up at 5am from my wife or the neighbors

Highway drones are non existent from normal driving around 75/80 mph

When the car in sport mode, you can actually hear the difference I can’t really describe it, but it’s very addicting.

Overall, the throttle seems to respond a bit better in normal mode. But in sport mode, definitely feel like a sport car. She goes !! And she quick also.

I’m still waiting for the intake from sxth elements, so when I got that installed I’ll get you guys some more update with the intake.

Ps. The exhaust tip tuck up nice and high, out of the way for off-roading also. You can’t even see it if you don’t bend over looking for it

Just realized magnaflow has an audio clip. Between that and your videos, seems it’s about as loud as stock but deeper. Has that been your experience?

Yup it does sound deeper at certain rpm.

I might be able to do a “in cabin” clip. But not sure about drive by. Since I don’t really know a spot I can do a 0-60 and setting the camera

Sport mode has a good bit of fake sound pumped in from the Toyota engine sound enhancement (ESE) FWIW. I have a base sr5 and confirmed this by toggling it on and off with Carista while driving. I know your not supposed to drive with carista plugged in but I did it anyway. I kind of like the fake noise sometimes but to each their own. Your sport mode sound clip sounds just like mine and I just have stock exhaust.

I also have mine tuned by OTT and I can definitely tell the difference in throttle response and gear shifts in sport mode.

What is drone technology?

Here’s what I was talking about No-Drone Technology (NDT) right from the Magnaflow website:

I’m excited to hear what you have to say once you get the Sxth Element intake installed, and stoked to hear you say you’ve been tuned by OTT. Those are two things I’m looking forward to once I change the state we have our 4Runner registered in.

Lol I also do have the sxth element cai intake lol. Basically anything can boost the performance for this engine. I installed it. It’s a joy to ride and listen to even my kid love it
