Westcott lift top hat piece - should it be visible after install?

Should you be able to see this part once installed? I have looked and can't see it. If you can could you please take a picture of it and post it? Thanks in advance. I ask because I did some after install measurements today and the front only raised 2" and the rear .25", does this sound correct?

Yes, it sits on top of the strut before it is bolted up. I assume because of the lack of space it would be visible. I am trying to see if the tech installed it or forgot and shelved the parts.
