Trump Tariffs on Japan [Admin Warning: No Politics, Only Policy Discussions]

Tariffs are paid at the port of entry by whoever is paying for the vehicle, probably regional distribution and passed on to dealerships. Not liking the potential increase that will impact my order of a platinum arriving maybe sometime late summer. Japanese quality is far superior then any America auto I have ever owned and the public is aware of that because 50% of vehicles on the road are foreign and many of them built in Japan. All of this is so totally wrong in my opinion.

That being said, with as willing as the big American brands have been to sell disposable junk vehicles over the past 20 years, I don't feel much of an obligation to buy American made.

To me, one of the biggest appeals of 4Runners/Land Cruisers is that they are made in Japan by people who care about their craft and insist on making a quality product that lasts.
