Tire Size and PSI Question

This may be a dumb question but does the recommended PSI change based on tire size and brand? I know the door jam sticker recommends 33 PSI, but mine came from the factory with 48 PSI. It seems like a lot to reduce it down to 33 and just want to see what everyone else is running. I'm on the stock wild peaks BTW (TRD ORP).

You should go by what the door jam says since they are factory tires. When dealing with any tire for a vehicle that isn't factory it's usually a good idea to talk with the manufacturer of that tire since they have a chart that matches the tire with the vehicle and will tell you the PSI. It really depends on how much weight the tire will be carrying. More weight equals a higher PSI.
