I’m looking to purchase a tail pipe tip for my 2025 hybrid TRD pro, I measured the exhaust pipe and it was 2.75 inches, but I’m not sure if I must purchase the 3 inches one and adjust it? or what it’s recommended?

Thanks for your input as always!

If you drive with the rear tailgate window down on your 4Runner be aware that changing the airflow dynamics (extending the tail pipe) could possibly cause exhaust fumes to enter the cabin through the back tailgate window. Just something to think about.

Please forgive my ignorance (it has been 40 years since I studied fluid dynamics)

Does either of those images represent a 4R with rear window open? And how does what appears to be two different vehicles make it a good comparison?

it is a generic SUV airflow profile not 4runner open window specific.

If you had asked me ahead of time I would have suited your needs, but you didn't
so I didn't

if you install the oem accessory exhaust tip correctly, the original oem exhaust tip will butt right up against the inner curl of the black out chrome tip.

so you only technically extend the tip about maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch

but where you install it is totally up to you. some like to extend the tip out further to get a more rugged look or vary it.

but normally you install it until the you cant slide it any further onto the original exhaust tip.

It is a very tight fit on the Pro. It does fit perfect though!
