I'll be using my 4Runner a lot for beach trips. I'm looking to build a 15" or so width shelf with one or more center support posts that uses the "third row" cupholders for left/right & front/back stabilization. The shelf will have recovery boards mounted on top and a shovel underneath. I'm not looking to reinvent the wheel if someone has been down this path. I don't want it to be too heavy, as I will remove it when not going to the beach. Obviously, I don't want it to rattle and be an annoyance. Any ideas?
