Ordering key cards?

[jordan57]

Does anyone have info on ordering Key Cards for 6th gen 4Runners? Who sells them and did your dealership or someone know how to set them up for your vehicle. My Dealership doesn't seem to know much about them.

thanks very much

since the 4R doesnt come with a key card option, dealers wont be able to set that up since there is no official procedures to do it.

edit : you can use a toyota key card from one of these models

2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma,
2022+ Tundra,
2023+ Sequoia,
2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.

as far as programming it, you could probably use the tacoma setup but dont quote me on that

also some cons

they are prone to crack if you constantly bend them (like in a wallet) and they cost about $150 to $350 depending on model and that doesnt include programming.

you can probably find a locksmith that can program them to your vehicle since you need the security module sub from GTS to be able to program them to the smart key system

I have a Tacoma credit card key on my LC250 and it works great. Been in my wallet for 2 years. No bending or cracking. Battery life is not the best but it works well.
