The truck tells you the tire pressure. You don't trust that, but you trust whatever gauge you are using to check the tires yourself? I do get it the mechanically inclined people love to look at their engines (and check for potential issues) I do get that. My main point is those people are the minority, and Toyota knew that adding beefed up hood struts would not be a good business decision, so for that reason, I am not shocked about their decision. I saw other threads when people complained that the 4Runner did not have a dual climate system. Well, if it did the price would be even higher and people would complain about that. The inside of a vehicle is relatively small, dual climate, that is unnecessary. When I was a kid, me and my siblings rode in the back seat and both of our parents were smoking cigarettes, we didn't have AC, we had windows, and we were happy to be going somewhere. Ok, sorry for the trip down memory lane.
