Can you change the Start Up screen on the Infotainment system?

The SR5 does not have the GPS or "Drive Connect" subscription free for the first year. I sometimes will plug in my iPhone and use Car Play which is awesome but sometimes I don't and have to look at the default Drive Connect Getting Started screen.

There has to be a way to change that screen to something else without buying a $15 monthly subscription, right?

If anyone knows a way of changing the screen to ether a static desktop or something with useful information about the car, please let me know. It seems unethical to force this non-functioning screen on customers who do not want Drive Connect.

If not, can you turn the screen OFF when not needed?

I was wondering the same thing but haven’t spent much time investigating. Would love to know an answer if anyone has it

I guess it's not changeable based on the lack of responses. It could be the trims higher that the SR5 has the trial of Drive Connect so people are not seeing this screen until their subscription ends.
