Never mind. Got it! The ASS must wear out the starter a lot faster!

Nah. They have been around now for 10+ years on most vehicles and they've been fine. They do actually save fuel and nowadays with the Mild Hybrid / Hybrid systems their biggest annoyance is mostly nullified.
