Picked up my ORP on Friday and put several hundred miles on it over the weekend. Unfortunately I was having some issues with Android Auto with my Pixel 9 Pro -- wouldn't always connect on startup, occasional disconnects, and very annoying audio skips that would come and go. Pretty troubling coming from a brand new vehicle paired with a top of the line phone. Fortunately I played around with some settings and seem to have found a fix:
If you dig into the Developer Settings you'll find "Bluetooth AVRCP Version" and "Bluetooth MAP Version." The defaults for these on my phone were AVRCP 1.5 and MAP 1.2, even though both have more recent versions. I updated these to the max (AVRCP 1.6 and MAP 1.4) and Android Auto is now working flawlessly. I can only speak to Pixel phones, but if you're having similar connectivity issues with a Samsung or other Android it's worth a try.
