YMMV; I've never found frequent alignment checks (each of which costs money) necessary. I watch tire wear and as long as it's even and there are no other indications of alignment issues I don't worry about it. That's worked well for me over the past 50+ years of driving.

I don't see how I could lower the MT64s because the rear spring sets the rear height and they only offer the 2" lift option. I suppose it might be possible to substitute a different rear spring and then lower the front, but that would waste the cost of the OME rear springs in the kit. I'll have...

I have no doubt that mine would be fine after 6 months to a year. It's really more of a security blanket for me to know that it's always topped off.

I'll chime in with a NOCO recommendation. I've carried mine in my "emergency bag" in my 4R since 2019. Used it once and it worked nicely. I do have a monthly reminder in my calendar to top off the charge. It never takes more than a few minutes to top it off.
