Just had the 5k service done this week and complained to them about the rattling sound noticeably on my driver's side. They drove around for a drive test and concluded that the rattling is the car's "characteristics"! So nothing was done at least now wrt the rattling sound!

The squeal is loud and even worse now than before the TSB was done. It's embarrassing to get my neighbor's attention whenever I leave home! Will never buy a car newly redesigned the very first year again!

Same here living in southern California myself. Had it fix once mid August per the TSB but now the problem is still there as of this writing. Approximately 3k miles. Brought it back to the same dealer last week but nothing they can do except wrote up a report to Toyota engineering and wait!

I have done the same thing since ordering my SR5, got the accessories even before the car's arrival :) what a saving! The dealer is really helpful by checking my order against my VIN and told me what I didn't need!
