@ChemRunner - For what it's worth, I've also got an SR5 (4x4) on the stock tires + wheels and have no issues on the beach so far. I've taken it in the outer banks (Ocracoke) and it has been great. That said, I'd also love to get some bigger tires at some point too, but that is purely aesthetic.
@wavejd -
Thanks for all the measurements and information on this. I put together a version for my gas-only SR5, I'll share measurements here. It came out great!
Two key differences I made:
1. I did four points of attachment stability (i.e. feet/poles). I tried with two to begin with, and...
That's awesome! I would be thrilled for any/all thoughts you have - and maybe even pictures to see how it comes out (when built by not them).
No worries if not - but a few q's if I may:

My only hesitancy is how much rattling it may produce. (Well, and the fact it costs 1K). But for pre-fab options it seems to give you the largest sleeping space while maximizing the amount...
@RollingRocker - are you still intending to do a full breakdown of measurements/materials once you wrap this? I've been keeping tabs on this thread and am very interested in building my own for my SR5.
Never worked with 80/20 before though but it seems great.
@CSpil - I hate to be that person - but I'm too far to feasibly buy from you but was looking at getting one myself from their site. Can I ask why you're selling? Did it not fit in the 6g?
