I am averaging 275 to MAYBE 300 miles per tank of gas, and I'm driving it to empty. 2500 miles of driving thus far, so we are well beyond any break in period. Peeved to say the least.
I did stop using it after a few tanks, as mentioned in my post. Thanks for the heads up - the number of posts in the forum is overwhelming, so I missed that.
So glad to hear from someone going through the similar letdown after FINALLY getting my 4R. The surprising attacks you're getting are why I've been hesitant to bring much up. I thought the same thing - toyota owners are so loyal, they accept the "oddities." All I know is I was really surprised...
Android auto is the worst. Using it with the new toyota is *almost* enough to drive me to iphone. Apple carplay works so much better and has more flexibility. Plus, it allows for a side column on the left which directly accesses the toyota screen (which wow, is so clunky, side note).

Oh wow - honestly I didn't even consider that wasn't an option! My old nissan, daughter's honda, and spouse's GMC, as well as even my old Kia (I think) had it.
I haven't even had time to sit with the dealer and make them walk me through it all, but this overdone tech is why I almost got a used 4R instead of new. OLD SCHOOL is ok. I don't need popups and constant screen activity while I'm driving!
Thanks for the reply and info and for saying I'm not being nitpicky, ha! My old Pathfinder forums were full of Nissan apologists who would downright attack us for discussing legit complaints, so again, I'm gunshy about being able to have healthy discussions.
I did get the dealer to take off an...
Twins! At least, for now, lol. Wipers on rear window - have they always stopped at like 2/3 of the window, and the 1/3 left is on the driver's side? So odd and a bit silly when you have not only rain, but off road dust to deal with.
Appreciate all the feedback. I'm just super interested in...
Thank you! Great answer and confirms the good points of my drive thus far. I specifically noticed the braking compared to other 4R and honestly many other vehicles I've driven recently. WOW.
I don't plan on towing, and yes, I love the value toyota holds. I regretted every day not buying it...
Like others here, I researched and over-researched 6th Gen models since last year. Was between the Trailhunter (that Everest color with those rims, wow) and Pro, then the snorkel reviews scared me off. Had a deposit down on a white Pro with red interior but had misgivings (does that really "go"...
