Like I said, it's not strictly necessary and you could run straight to the battery, but it's safer to have the fault protection. You could also run something like a midi or mega fuse instead of a breaker.
The switch is what sends power to the relay to tell it to close the high power circuit so your accessory turns on, that power can't originate from the relay itself.
The circuit breaker isn't strictly needed, but protects the rest of the electrical system from the non oem stuff you're installing.
Similar but not the same. There is no non relayed circuit to run switch power. Also does not have the circuit breaker for the entire panel. Not sure how easy it would be to cleanly add accessories to it after running it without the dedicated terminal block. Can't speak to the form factor either...
Finally got around to doing the install. Added a underhood LED and switch at the same time. Best 20 bucks you can spend if your garage isn't the brightest.
I went through the fuse box with a multimeter, there are no circuits that are activated by the headlights on either driver or passenger side. I was able to find an unused (not fused) slot that did get power when the truck is on. ECU-IGP #3 on the drivers side. It takes a low profile mini style...

I've found that my radiator fan switches on and off at a pretty high frequency, every 10 seconds or so. This seems like odd behavior. Ambient temps, A/C on||off, driving mode doesn't seem to make a difference. Anyone else seeing this, or should I call the dealer on this one?
I have the temp set all the way to down to cool, but I'd expect that with the AC off, it wouldn't get any cooler than ambient (today was 85), like every other car I've ever owned. Instead it feels cool enough like the AC is on. If I switch AC on and wait, I can't feel any difference in temp...
