  1. Dealership installed mods - thoughts?

What is this OEM TRD suspension lift you bought? I didn't think Toyota had a suspension kit available for the 4Runner. There is nothing wrong with the dealer doing the install. They work on these vehicles everyday and the install is actually very easy. Sure they will likely cost more than a...
  2. Emergency Jack Acceptable with Lifted Vehicle?

Are any of these able to be stored in replace of the factory jack? It's something I'd like to be tucked away neatly and not loose in the rear cargo.
  3. Sensors not working after leveling kit install

I had a similar issues with all my safetly sensor lights come on after my level. I must have stretched my RF ABS sensor wire which caused a fault. Forgot to loosen it which likely caused it to stretch. Lesson learned.
  4. Emergency Jack Acceptable with Lifted Vehicle?

Does anyone know if the spare jack has enough lift capability to remove the tires if there is a 2-3" lift? I'm worried that if I ever need to replace a flat that the spare jack might not have enough lift capability when I need it. If it doesn't I need to plan on what to get so it doesn't leave...
  5. Functional raptor lights

never understood the purpose of those lights. Especially on a small SUV.
  6. Sensors not working after leveling kit install

Did you try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes to see if that clears it? Does it let you clear the codes or does it always stay on? If you do bring it to a shop; I wouldn't suggest the dealer. Any independent shop can do this without paying twice as much at a dealer.
  7. Where in Arizona to get ceramic coat?

It's something you can probably do yourself. It's not difficult to do and for what places charge; it could save yourself $700+.
  8. Rough Country Fender Flare Installed

Can anyone confirm if these are any wider than the ones on the Pro? Also are the Pro and Trailhunter flares the same size? Besides the gloss paint on them.
  9. Vibration on highway with 35s

It's likely your tires need to be rebalanced. Either they didn't do it right, weight fell off or they didn't road force them. Are your wheels hub centric? Lastly it could just be a bad tire(s). It happens once in a while where there is a defect in the tire causing a wobble.
  10. Bilstein 5100 and 6112 / 6100 Part Numbers Now Listed

Do the front struts come fully assembled with springs and the top hat or are they just the shocks?
  11. ANYBODY USING MILESTAR TIRES?

I was going to give them a try; but they are very heavy. Didn't want to compromise an extra 6 lbs a tire compared to the next lightest tire.
  12. What did you do to your 6th Gen 4Runner today?? 👨🏻‍🔧 🧰 🛠

Added a 1" lift in the rear and put on some new 17" RRW wheels and 285/75/70 Toyo's. Just need to add Rough Country's larger fender flares to hide the poke.
  13. Tire and Wheel Cleaner recommendations?

I don't know of any that cleans the wheel and tire. I use 303 tire cleaner on the tires and eagle one for my wheels. Tire prep is so important if you want that nice shine. you'll be amazing what a good tire cleaner can do and how much dirt they remove. if gives you a much better tire shine. Of...
  14. Is Ceramic Coating worth it ?

this must be your first new car. don't even buy any dealer add-ons. they are marked up up to 800% of their true cost. Whenever they claim ceramic coating. All they do it run it through a $10 car wash with a cheap ceramic in the shampoo. It's not a true hand applied coating that takes hours to...
  15. Show of hands: Those who do NOT want a moonroof (TRD off-road Premium)

dropping the seat down will cause people to sit with the legs is a more straight up position. If you driven the last gen Tacoma; you would understand. The bench seating position in that truck was one of the major complains about owners that they fixed in the latest gen by raising the seats...
  16. Show of hands: Those who do NOT want a moonroof (TRD off-road Premium)

That was one of my few requirements when I was looking. Mainly because the glass randomly shadders, expensive to replace, eventually leak and I'd never use it. I don't see any value in it.
  17. REMOTE Connect subscription (resubscribing)

Try this. It worked when I had my Ford. Disconnect the auto update or auto connect (whatever they call it) in your vehicle. If it can't connect to Toyota it may not realize the subscription has passed and won't disconnect your trail features. I was able to get 2 years of extra nav usage by...
  18. TRD ORP build: 34" AT3 tires, 0 offset 17" Methods, CBI stealth bumper, 6112 / 6100 Bilstein suspension, 2.5" lift & more
