The SR5 and multiple other trims do not have the auto dimming mirror. I had to use the ceiling pod harness for this.

Just in case you guys were buying accessories for your 2025 4Runner assuming that the 2024 Tacoma interior accessories are compatible, the front Cup Holder area is actually significantly smaller in the 4Runner than the Tacoma.

The whining noise did occur on the Tacoma but the wake issues did not. I’m currently getting confirmation from Dongar if my unit was just faulty or if there’s an actual hardware revision required.

Got some measurements for you. From tailgate plastic to front row seat in normal seating position, 72 inches. From tailgate plastic to front row seat pushed all the way forward, 84 inches Trunk opening height at the tailgate is 31 inches.

Update for everyone here! Dongar did send me a brand new Dongar Pro (they also let me know their latest version resolves the high pitch whine issues) and I’m happy to report it fixed the weird wake issue with the car and works absolutely perfectly with my dashcam now!

Combined with 50% city and 50% highway I have about 20.7 mpg rn. I live in a pretty hilly area. Driven 350 miles on 87 octane

Yeah I read that thread before attempting this. I’m not sure if the 4Runner just has a different setup but I was yanking on it hard enough to actually start disassembling the ceiling pod trim but it didn’t remove it. Tried again with me and my wife both pulling as hard as we could and no go.
