Installed @SXTH Element trail pipe. Def louder on cold start but once the idle settles I barely notice a difference. Will have to see how it goes on my first real drive. The clearance improvement is excellent and I think it's a great mod for the price.
Tried to post videos but it's not...
I have the WeatherTech in-channel visors on the front doors and I had no issues rolling the windows up after installing. I was actually kind of shocked how little resistance there seemed to be. I left the windows fully up for 2 days as recommended and I haven't had any issues since.
Looks great! I'm curious why you went with 5100 in the front and 6100 in the rear. From what I've read the reverse is more common (at least for previous gens). Would love to hear your thoughts on the ride compared to stock.
I'm at 3200-ish miles and it hasn't changed much, in my opinion. The general consensus is that the OR/ORP suspension (red Bilsteins) is stiffer than we'd all expect for an "off-road" trim.
Just finished my install. Removing and replacing the wiper motor is tedious. I feel like it would've been 10x easier with a 10mm wrench with a ratcheting end, but sometimes even those are too thick to fit in a tight spot. Patience is key I guess.
Aside from that, really happy with the light.
I bought a similar hatch light kit from CTH for my 5th gen RAV4 and loved it. I was so disappointed when it seemed like there wouldn't be one for the 4R. Glad to be wrong!
Looks great. I was going to buy the Diode hitch light, but I think I like this better for improved braking notification. Let us know what part of the install was a pain and what tool(s) came in clutch for getting it done.
Ordered from Hoover Toyota (Alabama) during an OEM parts sale. Quality is what you'd expect from OEM — great quality and finish. There's plenty of people who've installed them on this forum and I don't think anyone has had anything bad to say about the quality.
Brand new. Didn't realize before I bought that Pro and Trailhunter grilles were different. Bought and installed Trailhunter version instead.
Asking $140 ($10 less than what I paid for it). Located in South LA area.
Just thinking ahead and looking at the install docs for both 5100 and 6112. The circlip lift height chart for the 5100 lumps LC250 and all 4R trims together. In the 6112 docs, they differentiate LC250, hybrid 4R, and gas 4R — the latter two having pretty significant differences at lower circlip...
Damn, I ended up returning my Fitcamx for a Vantrue cam with the Starvis 2 sensor. I would've preferred the OEM fit of the Fitcamx but the camera quality with the Starvis 2 is undeniably better.
Sorry in advance, this is not a definitive answer. I bought the Pro wheels to put on my Off Road and moved them a few times before getting them installed. There's no way they are 34+ lbs, just based on how easily I was able to handle them. if I had to guess I'd estimate they're 25–27 lbs each...
What brand/type of strut does the limited come with from factory? I've seen discussion around the 5100 possibly being a lateral move (maybe even a downgrade?) in terms of ride compared to the factory Off Road Bilsteins, which imo are also stiff for an "off road" tailored trim. It's hard for me...
