  1. 5-tire rotation

    Correct, but the factory tires are not directional. I just don’t know why Toyota recommends the way they do, when it will wear one side significantly more than the other.
  2. 5-tire rotation

    I plan on rotating my spare tire in when I do tire rotations on my Trailhunter, every 5k miles. When looking through the owners manual, however, it indicates to perform a 5-tire rotation, but keep the spare continuously on the passenger side of the vehicle, not cross-rotating any of the tires at...
  3. I'm suing Toyota => TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX missing hands-free power liftgate

    I’m also curious, are you talking about the power liftgate itself (as in you have a manual liftgate with gas struts) or the hands-free foot-kick functionality? Either way if that was THE deciding factor on stepping up to that trim, I would’ve verified its existence on the vehicle before signing...
  4. I'm suing Toyota => TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX missing hands-free power liftgate

    This page shows Hands-free power liftgate as Not Available on TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX ?ā€ā™‚ļø
  5. What do these two items do/mean (rear dash light and cargo lock button)?

    ā€œCargo lockā€ does not adjust the height. While you can adjust the opening height, the ā€œcargo lockā€ button simply locks the doors after closing the cargo door. The other one without the lock icon just closes it. the ā€œrearā€ icon you’re asking about indicates which belts are buckled or unbuckled...
  6. Picked up my Trailhunter 4Runner - First Impressions & Early Mods

    I assume you’re referring to the grab handle above the driver seat on the ceiling? Trailhunter has this as well. Why Toyota did not add one to the driver side on the A-pillar like the passenger side I don’t understand. I actually found the factory wipers to be pretty nice. Quiet, clean very...
  7. TRD Pro vs. Trailhunter - Sales & Inventory data (as of May 2, 2025)

    Yep, ā€˜93. Most have indeed rusted away but there are a few folks keeping theirs alive and running. Still a lot of fun to drive even if it isn’t the fastest thing on the road.
  8. TRD Pro vs. Trailhunter - Sales & Inventory data (as of May 2, 2025)

    I went with a Trailhunter. I strongly considered a Pro. I think a big part of the reason the Pro is outselling the Trailhunter is the name. Everyone knows what a TRD Pro is, whether they’ve had 4Runners in the past or not. It’s always been the top-of-the-line off-roading trim. The Trailhunter...
  9. Check Back Seat warning keeps going off?!

    I believe it’s in the vehicle setting in the instrument cluster, not the infotainment screen. I think. It’s just labeled ā€œcheck back seatā€ with an on/off toggle.
  10. 2025 4Runner TRD Pro mystery part

    The lantern costs $160. I think there may be a piece snapped in that the lantern twists in to? Maybe someone took the lantern but the surround is still there making that blank cap not fit (can you remove the surround)? Not sure (I don’t have the lantern I found that pic online. I just have the...
  11. 4Runner 6th Gen OWNERS Registry List & Stats [Add Yours]! šŸ“Š

    Took delivery today. 200 mile drive home and I’m loving it so far.
  12. 2025 4Runner TRD Pro mystery part

    Open the driver door and look on the edge of the dash. There should be a lantern there that replaced this blank cap you would have, had there not been the lantern. You should be able to twist the lantern clockwise, I believe, to remove it.
  13. Diode Dynamics SSC2 pods installed as reverse lights

    I think horizontal was the right choice.
  14. TRD Sport on TRD Pro wheels + 265/70/18 Goodyear Territory R/T tires (stock suspension Supersonic Red)

    This looks really good, wheels are a huge improvement over the factory sport wheels.
  15. Trailhunter, customs, and tariffs

    Your dealer sounds like they have no idea what they’re talking about if they sent that email out just yesterday. When tariffs were first put into effect, Toyota themselves stated that they intended to maintain prices, at least for the time being. I haven’t heard of anybody paying a tariff on...
  16. New Owner: 2025 4Runner Trailhunter - My Review & Plans

    I can’t find a solid answer and maybe I didn’t search well enough but do you know/can you measure the height from ground to the top of the ARB roof rack?
  17. 2025 4Runner Price Release! MSRP & Options Pricing for all trim levels, gas & hybrid models (6th Gen)

    Received this from my dealer this morning. Finally. About in line with what I'd been reading and expecting. For each trim level's content/features/equipment see: 2025 4Runner Trim Levels Guide Text Version: 2025 4Runner Gas and Hybrid Pricing Summary Engine Model # Trim Level...
  18. 2.4 Turbo Dislike and Criticism?

    I would assume that fewer components would mean better reliability, just because there are fewer things that can fail. But Toyota has a ton of experience with hybrids, more than any other automaker probably, so I’m personally not looking at the hybrid as a reliability concern. But I do know that...
