Just looked at the Toyota Canada site and that skid is double the price of the Trail Hunter front skid. I don't see an option for the transmission/transfer case skid. Is that skid plate one larger piece that provides more coverage?
It is part of the good old Toyota game, make colours a big deal, it has been ongoing for at least a decade to my knowledge, special colours per model per yr and trim level.
Ya I'd certainly prefer to lose those extra 2 back seats resulting in more space and warmer hands! 7 seats should definitely be an optional add on, not standard on SR5's. If I miss the heated steering wheel enough I'll get one of those ghetto heated covers I guess, it will match my 'poverty...
Yup, SR5 is only available in the three basic colours for us in Canada. Wish it had the heated steering wheel... Going to the Sport adds a bunch of stuff but those 20 inch wheels are terrible! Too bad we can't the TRD Off road Base trim option like the Tacoma's.
If this was the case those of us that live in the North would be going through a lot of weather stripping!
I've lived in winter conditions my entire life and never have I had weather stripping fail. I'm thinking there must have been a defect in OP's product to get to this point so fast.
Up here in cold Canada I saw a 2025 TRD sport with nearly the same mileage at 3k over msrp, the dealership said that is the price for getting it now and not waiting 6+ months as they already had a wait list for 2026's... Craziness! You did well!!
It is important to note here we all have our own opinions and experiences with different tires. I mention I like the high end E load pizza cutter 255's while others think 255's ride like wagon wheels, this may have been the case decades ago but things have changed. My experience with the E...
Be sure to review the bill of sale line by line for the item(s) they try to sneak in. My experience is that all dealers I've purhased from try to sneak in some kind of BS. Whatever you see that isn't simply vehicle price and requested add on, request it be removed and see where things go.
I'm hoping Eibach comes out with their non hybrid kit soon. Similar in price to the Fox stuff but the fronts can be adjust on the vehicle with it on jacks, no need for a spring compressor.
I ran Fox 2.0 on my 2019 and it was so very much better than the stock suspension that felt incredibly...
I suggest deciding what size you want to go with and start looking at all terrains in that size.
I currently have C load KO2's on my Wrangler in 35's, they ride worse than my D load 37 inch Cooper AT3 XLT's did and worse than my E load 35 Falken AT3W's did on my Jeeps.
A quality E load tire...
The shape of the bars will make a significant difference to the noise, those square tubes full of holes are going to be a lot noisier than the Yakima's mentioned above that have a proper aerodynamic wing shape.
