Wow underpowered - didn't feel that way to me. I agree about the GX550 - it's just the $$$. We shouldn't need to pay so much just to get decent sound protection from the 4 banger and interior color options. Toyota has dropped the ball here IMHO.

Totally agree you need to drive it. We drove the LC 1958 today and Tacoma previously. Tacoma TRD Sport and LC 1958 have excessive engine noise! LC with Hybrid has superb power and driving stability. Hopefully TRD Sport Premium (no sunroof for us also) will have superior hood and firewall...

I can understand that. We just test drove the 1958. Loved the engine power and fulltime 4WD, for us, the engine and general noise was too much compared to our 2022 4R . Not sure what you can do about the firewall noise, but the hood insulation kits might be of interest to you. Enjoy the power...
