I think we will see pricing announced around October or November. I do think that all those rumours of it being delayed is true. I still think that the press will drive it soon rather than later in the year. Fingers crossed it’ll happen sooner!
I went to the Miami International Auto show recently and Toyota did not have the 6th gen 4Runner on display but a 5th gen TRD Sport. It looks like the only way to see a 4Runner is at a popular overland show. Also seems like the Trailhunter is the only 4Runner being shown now as the TRD Pro...
I mean on Toyota Pressroom where Toyota posted the 4Runner article it still states release is this fall with a little note at the end saying “last edit: June 27th 2024”
So realistically, the 5th gen 4Runner would have been in production for a whole 15 years. Is that the longest a mainline Toyota has been in production for the US market?
The non Hybrid I Force is a really good engine. I quite like the power delivery and funny enough with some brake boost you can actually peel out from a dig. As for if they will role out non hybrid first, I feel like the only reason Toyota did that for the Tacoma was because they didn’t have it...
Yeah that for me is the biggest factor. As for the Honda Teaser. Yes it looks cool since it’s an illustration teaser but but typically Honda teasers look cooler than the actual product. Don’t know why it’s just those illustrations paint something it’s not.
The Passport comes out next year so it would probably go against that but let’s be real, the majority of people who will buy the Passport won’t go for the Trailsport. Also V6 in the Passport won’t sway current 4Runner owners or future 4Runner owners as that is a Unibody and not a body on frame...
