  1. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

Remove the air dam. It doesn't do anything and it has a habit of falling off...
  2. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

You can them straight from the company website or amazon. Go to the website to determine which one you need first, as there are different applications
  3. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

Chatgpt is a great source to pit oil brands/viscosities against each other to determine a best case scenario for your location and driving habits. I've found it helpful in discussing different viscosities and oci's with regard to uoa results. Might be worth a few minutes to discuss with an AI if...
  4. Reliability of Hybrid Turbo 4 iForce Max after 100k miles (an owner's report)

Why would either of those need to be done at those intervals? Seems awfully short.
  5. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

The air sam isn’t worth it. I tossed mine in the recycle as soon as I got home from the dealer. Two retaining tabs had already fallen out by that point though. Zero negative affect on mpg.
  6. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

I did mine in the garage, with the rear wheels outside the garage and down the 1.5-2" elevation change from the garage to the driveway. No jacks were necessary. I'm 6'4 220 for reference...
  7. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

I did my first change. I'll also do all the following changes. I'm not concerned with them doing the 10/20k services, unless I specifically tell them NOT to change the oil. I don't trust the dealer, plus, I installed a fumoto drain valve. I know the mechs will find some way to screw that up...
  8. What factory oil and filter?

I went with their 0w20 hybrid blend. We’ll see if their emulsifier claim is accurate or not.
  9. CCnut on "Can Modern Turbo Engines Be Reliable?"

He also made mention of using the factory designated oil. His reasoning is that the pump/computer is configured to run on the specified viscosity with attention to psi and flow rate. If that were true, this would call into question the 0w20 vs 0w30vs 5w30 debate
  10. Lane Assist Oscillations

Yes, really. Let’s create a software safety system that allows drivers to become even more zoned out on the road. Heaven forbid people take accountability…
  11. Aftermarket suspension options to improve ride quality (TRD ORP)

Why were you running 45psi? Isn’t the rating for those tires 33-35? Could you feel the ants you ran over?
  12. Lane Assist Oscillations

Absolutely hate, loathe and despise lane assist. Turned off within minutes of ownership. I have zero problems maintaining lane position. Why is this even a thing?
  13. Overall a good truck, but a big Fail and a bit of a miss

Regarding the second row seats, they probably thought it would be easier access for passengers to get to the third row seats. But, who the F gets the third row seats in a Fing 4runner??? Get a sequoia if you need more seating… Huge design fail that only accommodates what, 1 or 2% of 4runner buyers?
  14. 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ prototype world premiere

Size of a soul with the price of a land cruiser…
  15. WAVE MAKER 4Runner 6th Gen (2025+) Photos

Pretty crappy that wave maker is a trd pro only color. Way to say FU to the rest of the 4runner buyers…
  16. 5W-30 for hot climates? 0W-20 for cold climates?

It’s the fuel economy requirements, and the fines if manufacturers fail to meet them. 5w30 is fine. Typical US EPA garbage
  17. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

I'm usually in ECO, 60/40 hwy/city and easily get 24+. I got 30mpg last weekend on a 70mile round trip. The new tires will have an effect for sure, but not 6-10mpg. I've noticed my 27-30mpg range @ 65-70mph significantly drops as soon as I hit 73-75mph. I've never gotten below 19. City...
