I personally love all the nannies but do not keep them in their highest sensitivity for that reason. Have not had any episodes yet that made be feel out of control. I do keep them on all the time.
Folks should do what they want and are comfortable with. Coming on reddit to ask for advice is an exercise in futility. You are going to get many different answers. Been following owners manual recommendations for 40 years on my vehicles and have rarely had to do more than routine...
Pushing 60'years old and have had more new vehicles than I can actually remember. Never changed oil any more frequent that what the owners manual said to. I have never had engine problems in my vehicles, not once after all these years and vehicles. Folks should do what gives them piece of...
Yeah...I can tell you a VW GTI drives a bunch better on 93 octane...no difference in MPG...very noticeable throttle response difference. Not all turbos are the same though. I agree with you though. Don't need my 4 Runner to be as quick as a GTI. Just enough power to merge and pass.
I agree...ran it in my GTI and it ran better than with 87. My 4 runner will not be getting it. My GTI got 36 mph on the highway and 30 in the city and was very quick...it earned 93! All high octane gas did was make it a little peppier and increase throttle response. 4Runner is plenty peppy...
I did confirm that becauae they are smallier your speedo is going to be off by anout 2 mph. I noticed it yesterday when I drove past one of those speed check signs on the side of the road.. speedo said 37 sign said 35. When we do eventually put 70s back on them it will be dead on again.
Yeah...changing oil every 5k for any but harsh dusty conditions is a waste of money as well.. Rule of thumb...do what the manual says to the letter and you won't go wrong.
