Camera resolution & display resolution all blow the previous gen's away.
This is the new 4th gen Tacoma's back up camera resolution quality. It's the same camera and display in the 6th gen 4Runner:
14 inch display (4th gen Tacoma / 6th gen 4Runner):
8" inch display (4th gen Tacoma / 6th...
Both look good and the 5th gen has aged well on the exterior, but the 6th gen clearly looks more modern with sharper styling. Everest color keeps impressing me the more I see it in different lighting conditions.
The interior is where the biggest upgrade is IMO -- from design to the technology.
Maybe @eddie s is thinking of the seats in the Tacoma TRD Pro -- these Isodynamic Performance Seats with shocks? These aren't available for the 2025 4Runner TRD Pro.
Exactly, she was spot on!!
Anybody else's dealer get their allocations today? Share what you hear from your dealer -- maybe it'll help others locate their 2025 4Runners. ?
Toyota dealers have been gotten their first 2025 4Runner allocations!! Everyone check with your dealers!
This was sent to me by my dealer and it's a 2025 4Runner SR5 in Heritage Blue is available at Nashville Toyota North.
Scheduled delivery date to dealer is 2/8 - 2/18/25. ?
I haven't seen any posts or news about production starting at the Tahara plant yet but I'm sure when it does the @Administrator or other users will post about it. Or Toyota will make an announcement and release assembly line video like for the LC.
The OEM factory 5th gen 4Runner wheels (or 3rd gen Tacoma wheels) won't be a perfect fit but a 14mm stud will fit no problem.
And then you can use hub centric rings to fill the gap difference on the hub (assuming that they're hubcentric). I'm not a fan of using hub centric rings to fill out...
Here's what the key fob and slim credit card key fob will look like for the 6th gen 2025+ 4runner
Traditional Key Fob (Back)
Traditional Key Fob (Front)
Slim Card Key Fob (same as from 2024 Tacoma)
Video:
Size comparison between traditional key fob and slim card keyfob.
I very much doubt it. I don't think Toyota would be recommending regular gas if it was going to hurt the reliability of the new 4Runner. Like @olefriend mentioned, surely the engineers must have the software/engine tuned so that it runs well on 87 octane, without knock, running rich, pulling...
Ohh Underground on Platinum looks good. Really like how the dark navy seats look too, great combo with Underground. This is making me waver on the TRD Pro. Worried about the gloss black flares and not sure a bright red interior is for me. ?
You bring up a good point about production location. I just asked and her reply was that:
"it (first allocations to east coast) may not apply with Japanese built vehicles, but the reality is they just allocate sooner, they don’t actually get them any sooner."
After reading that production starts December I texted my dealer this afternoon. Here’s what she (a sales manager) shared:
No 2025 4runner allocations are out yet but she expects first ones in second half of December. East coast dealers will likely get allocations first (just how it usually...
Interesting that they're doing the slightly delayed production start date for the hybrid models, just like the Tacoma launch. Anyone know the reason? Must not be related to the production plant since 4runner and Tacoma are made in different factories.
The higher trims and premiums also have rubber stripping on the front edge of the rear door to reduce wind noise.
The OEM hood insulation isn't cheap either from Toyota parts, like $450-$500.
Some 2024 Tacoma owners have DIY installed a sound insulation deadening material themselves, which...
