  1. 4Runner Vs Land Cruiser Vs GX550 -- off-road ability?

    Thank you for this.
  2. 4Runner Vs Land Cruiser Vs GX550 -- off-road ability?

Putting it another way, if you were in a tough off-road situation which truck would you want and why?
  3. 4Runner Vs Land Cruiser Vs GX550 -- off-road ability?

What do you think, in terms of off roadiness (I know, I just made the word up) does the competence level go up from 4Runner to LC to GX, or does one really not give much toughness up when looking at the different models? Is it truly just about adding a more comfortable cabin and more bells and...
  4. I got to drive a 24’ MY 4Runner TRD Pro and honestly I understand why people miss the V6.

I doubt it. Although...I could completely take out the factory seat and put in a Recaro. ;-)
  5. I got to drive a 24’ MY 4Runner TRD Pro and honestly I understand why people miss the V6.

Thank you very much for this report. I'm 6' 2" and am therefore concerned that I would never fit in to a 4Runner. Which is what I really want. This is based on reports that the LC has a much taller roof-line. Ah well, I guess that I'll half to look at a LC or GX.
  6. 4Runner Trailhunter snorkel vs. fresh air scoop (for water fording / river crossing)

Are you referring to making say a TRD Pro into a Trail Hunter?
  7. 4Runner Trailhunter snorkel vs. fresh air scoop (for water fording / river crossing)

My understanding is that the Trail hunter comes with a fresh air scoop. This got me thinking about using the truck for river crossings where the water would be above the hood slightly. I believe that in it's current set up this maneuver would not be doable. Not being an engineer I half to...
  8. 2025 4Runner TRD Pro is @ Toyota Jamboree in TX (May 2-5, 2024)

If you go see if you can find out about front seat head room.
  9. I got to drive a 24’ MY 4Runner TRD Pro and honestly I understand why people miss the V6.

I'd be very interested to know how much front seat head room the LC has.
  10. Poll: Which 2025 4Runner competitor are you considering (if any)?

Thank you for this information. Yes, let's hope that: The dimensions of the 4R are different than the Taco. Or, that the 4R that we are seeing is not exactly what will be produced. Barring those two things, one can hope that the headroom of the LC is indeed higher. There are just too many...
  11. Poll: Which 2025 4Runner competitor are you considering (if any)?

I hope that you're right. There seems to be some debate over this however.
  12. Poll: Which 2025 4Runner competitor are you considering (if any)?

I've been asking around and so far no one can tell me what the front seat head room is on a 4R and LC. Guess I'll just half to wait a while longer.
  13. Poll: Which 2025 4Runner competitor are you considering (if any)?

I would like to get a 4Runner hybrid for its off-road abilities, but being 6' 2" I'm concerned about the headroom. That's why I'm keeping the LC in mind. Ultimately I sure would like to wait and sit in each one to see "what feels right".
  14. 2025 4Runner TRD Pro is @ Toyota Jamboree in TX (May 2-5, 2024)

For anyone that's going, I would love to know what the front seat headroom is. I'm trying to figure out whether to get a 4Runner or LC.
  15. 4Runner Hybrid octane rating and interior dimensions

Do we really know for sure at this early date just what fuel the hybrid 4Runner will be using?
  16. 4Runner Hybrid octane rating and interior dimensions

That's interesting. I wonder why the difference exists.
  17. 4Runner Hybrid octane rating and interior dimensions

Do we know yet what octane fuel the hybrid and non-hybrid engines will use? I really don’t want to half to pay for 91 octane fuel. I’m also wondering what kind of head room the new 4Runner will have. I’m 6’ 2” and just barely fit into my 2018 4Runner (with sunroof).
