If this continues (I'm crossing my fingers it will not since it will be my 6th vehicle purchase from my dealer) I'm not going to pay $75K for a 4runner. I'll go and shop a GX550 Overland instead.
It was not just the unwanted additions that they piled onto the car after I made an appointment, it was also the fact that they were going to markup the price an additional $3400 because it was a TRD Pro.
As I have many times with my Trail edition, my TRD Pro will head out west this summer and future off roading next year. Some of that will also be in Virginia as well. There's nothing more exhilarating than off roading in the heart of Grizzly country in Wyoming.
It is pathetic that dealers pull that crap. I’m retired Law Enforcement and I often say that there are 2 people I do not trust. One is Lawyers and the other is Car Salesman. They seem to be cut from the same cloth.

Situation was resolved with dealership. Order completed and TRD Pro built on 3/19/25 with expected delivery late May - early June. Keep a watch on dealerships and call them out. They will budge.
I would be more worried about insurance coverage if you get into an accident at night. Lawsuits happen all the time, windshield visibilty is important.
