I wish there was a way to change the hybrid logic… IMO, it should be charge on every brake, and help accelerate all the time, down to some battery percentage. I think there’s a lot of energy not being harnessed

K, got a set of four of the 7” wide steps. Glad I went wide. Overall I like them! exactly what I was after for an easy to remove step option. They feel pricey for what they are though. time will tell how they hold up… will not be worth it if they start degrading.

Do you all recommend running extra oil for off-roading, especially for steep angles? How much? I have a new truck, and haven’t touched the oil so far

lol, nice music It seems the alternator is only used with a hybrid malfunction… makes sense (Side note: I’ve already had a hybrid malfunction on my 100mile TH… it did indeed hiccup and then start working again… not sure how much this played in)

The manual notes the hybrid system powers things entirely when in ACC/READY (Eg. For car camping). The engine will occasionally fire up to charge back up. But the manual also doesn’t seem to note the alternator 12/14v, 450A seems unlikely from an alternator…

Hi All, Curious to learn for the trucks that are both hybrid and have an alternator... how does feeding the 12v bus work? - Seems like the output regulators of the alternator and the hybrid bus would fight each other(?) - Or are they used one at a time? How to know when? Thanks!

Yup, I get muddy pants all the time from this... part of why I want the step. But one that doesn't stick lower (don't want to give up on clearance)

Hi All Love my new TH, but I’m pretty hard on the seat upholstery and door sill plastic getting in/out. The rock sliders don’t stick out enough to really use them as a step. Trying to poll the group if anyone’s found options they recommend thanks!

95miles on new TH… this happened to me 😡 Glad I didn’t accept Toyotas crappy trade offer… will be taking the TH to the dealership and my GM to go ski… wtf also, the way it fails… you lose all engine power—scary and frankly dangerous in traffic

I'm curious to learn more... 1) The hybrids without the Aux switches rely on the hybrid system to supply the 12v bus? What's the current capacity from the hybrid system to the 12v side? 2) With the Aux switches, the alternator adds in? Seems like the two 12V supplies could fight each other...
