Can confirm that this happens less in sports mode. I've kinda started using sport by default because of how it feels. I'll shift over to comfort if needed for shittier roads, but generally I like to stick with Sport.
I thought the sweet spot would be a custom drive mode with comfort suspension...
Yessir - I'm a huge fan of great gas. Had a cousin that had his car ruined by shitty gas and my GTI has always required 93 to ensure the turbo runs smoothly. So I'm quite used to it. I just wanted to make sure if the gas was TOO high quality then it wouldn't ruin the new engine
NP! I would like to do the same, but let's see what the wife says LOL
I do intend on putting on a set of all terrains, adding skid plates + blacking out the car ASAP. Will lyk how that goes. Been seeing some folks put their Limited trims on lifts and everything still works properly
No issues so far. I drive in the tri-state region mostly so the potholes can be pretty aggravating here. I kind of assumed the suspension on an upper trim would negate the amount of feedback I feel from the road - and my expectations were low given that I'm coming from a low hot-hatch - but boy...
Hey folks - kind of a dumb question here. I've been filling up the 4runner with either 91 or 93 whenever I fill up. Generally very used to this since I'm coming from a MK6 GTI and those things take 93 preferably because of the turbo.
Will filling up the 4runner with 93 cause any damage or...
If you do swap out the grille, please do post an update in terms of cost, ease of process, eta. Looking to do the same myself bc that chrome grill is absolutely killing me
Hey OP - Running an underground Limited trim here and still very much actively been doing some research because I do find myself looking for certain features that the Platinum model offers. That said, here are some of my feedback points:
Limited is best for people looking for an optional...
Def have questioned the spoiler quality myself as it gets squeaky whenever i press down on it. Outside of that I haven't worried too much about it since it does feel pretty bolted down.
Went through the carwash once already and didn't have an issue
Has anyone else noticed (for Limited or Platinum) that when you use "sport" for drivetrain in custom drive mode, it has a much rougher shift vs. the car in regular sports mode?
Glad you took the time to look over and check for these issues. I think most people would say "suck it up, it's a car" but shietttt after the money you spent? I'd expect everything to be perfect
Coming from a 2025 Limited - IF I had the money..
A more robust AVS system; I'm sure you've probably heard that the ride can be jarring, but it's extremely odd that the pavement princess trim somehow feels more bumps in the road than the TRD Pro models (MIL also has a 2025 TRD)
Grab handles...
Question for the furRunners out here - How do yal keep your dogs cool in the cargo area?
I'm considering a small fan attachment. Slightly disappointed that Toyota didn't include vents in the cargo region/3rd row since I have a Limited trim, but alas it's not meant for that.
