  1. TRD Pro - Not So Pro Ride Quality!!!

I had to same observation on my TRD Off Road Premium. Felt rough compared to my 5th gen. Tires set at 33psi and balanced. After 15k, things feel a little better. Might just need some break-in time. In general though, I’d agree with others— the new frame design isn’t as smooth as previous gens...
  2. PSI FOR LARGER TIRES?

Tire rating will dictate ideal pressure. If they're E-rated, it's best to avoid running them too low (35 or under) if you want safe highway speeds.
  3. Countdown! Wolfbox's 6th Anniversary Approaching!

Great opportunity to release a new mirror with HomeLink integration and flip to use a regular mirror like the OEM options. I’d buy one once these features are added.
  4. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

This is helpful. At higher speeds it doesn't seem to be an issue.
  5. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

Agreed— this on Toyota. I’m not going to pay for an OTT tune. If an old Prius can fly up a 2000’ ft gravel forest service road without issues yet a 2025 4R needs to go slowly in 4Lo or manually keep the transmission in lower gears, it’s just embarrassing. Luckily, I haven’t had any issues going...
  6. Disable School Zone Alert? (14" display screen)

This might reveal the outdated nature of the native Toyota nav. Does it show as a school zone on your dash display?
  7. Disable School Zone Alert? (14" display screen)

It’s possible. I’ll double check all the menu options again, but almost positive I’ve disabled everything Toyota nav related.
  8. Disable School Zone Alert? (14" display screen)

I don't really mind the pop up, but it also speaks to me "Braking ahead"... yet there's usually no traffic with braking happening. Go figure.
  9. Disable School Zone Alert? (14" display screen)

I can't speak to Android auto, but I only use CarPlay. These notifications are coming from the Toyota nav and take over part of the screen over CarPlay when in Google Maps, Spotify, whatever. I don't touch the Toyota nav, so it must be loading data in the background. I've disabled every possible...
  10. Disable School Zone Alert? (14" display screen)

I've come to the same conclusion as you OP, can't turn it off yet. "School zone" and "heavy braking ahead" pop up for me and they're both annoying since I don't want anything to do with the lame built in Toyota nav features. All the internet references don't apply to the 2025.
  11. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

Yep that will help. It's mostly just annoying for anyone who switched from a 5th gen. You didn't have to think about any of that with the prior gen. Everything just worked.
  12. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

That's good news. How much vertical did you climb in 2 hours? Trans temp didn't budge past the middle? 5mph in 4Hi is very slow lol
  13. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

I recently repeated the same 3,000 vertical climb outside of Silverton CO. 2 days apart. I'll provide details for my findings as I used this as an opportunity to experiment with the overheating. Worth noting, I've done this one numerous times in my 5th gen with oversized tires and 4Hi or 2WD and...
  14. Rotation of all 5 Tires is Best!

Truth. Rule #1, don’t go to the stealerships. I’m not even taking advantage of the free oil changes because I know they can’t be trusted in my area. They either overfilled or cross threaded skid plate bolts every time on my 5th gen. Never again.
  15. Rotation of all 5 Tires is Best!

I went ahead and got a matching 275/70/18 tire when I stepped up a size. It's nice having that full size, matching spare wheel on the ORP and up trim levels. Discount Tire told me it's non issue to request a 5 tire rotation, so I'm planning to give it a try in the future. Came across this video...
  16. PSI for KO3 / all-terrain tire?

Sweet. They don't offer the c-rated in the 18" size. I ran 2 sets of KO2 C-rated on my 5th gen and loved them. I'd say stick with the stock 33psi. Might want to experiment at 34-36 to see how the slightly stiffer 6 ply sidewall performs at highways speeds, etc.
  17. PSI for KO3 / all-terrain tire?

Size? E or C rated? I ran 35psi cold for 275/70/18 e rated KO3. That’s about the minimum you can go for safe highway speeds, etc. I ended up getting rid of them after 5000 miles. Running 33psi for SL rated G3’s.
  18. FITCAMX dash cam install - step by step how-to DIY (on 2025+ 4runner 6th gen)

Awesome write up. Is this the correct Sienna cable you used? https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-parking-mode-cable-for-toyota-sienna-2021-now Does it record speed and gps reading overlays? How’s the night time quality?
  19. 14" Screen - recommendations or options for anti-glare/matte film

I’m using this one and haven’t had any issues with my polarized sun glasses.
