That was my point, unless there is a lot of sound insulation under the hood and firewall - the 2025 model will be rejected by me. For those that like noisy truck inside and out, they will be well served.
I'm wondering what the test drive policy will be. With so few vehicles available initially, the first allotment vehicles will either incur a lot of miles in test drives or if sold leave no vehicle to show customers...
My description of the 4 banger in a Tacoma TRD Sport was like a sewing machine in need of maintenance - not good. Hopefully the 4R TRD Sport Premium will not sound that....
My local NJ dealer just sent me details of an allocation for Feb.
It's for the TRD Sport Premium part time AWD, which is what I wanted which is $56,060 per the basic build list, no sunroof wanted.
It's stuffed with $4,272 of extras which after delivery, taxes etc, they want $63,227 for.... :mad...
My understanding is that old and new it will be the same concept, i.e. there is a screen that can be pulled across.
It seems that many folk don't want a sunroof, but do want a limited, IMHO it should be an option.
Apart from the glare, you would be surprised at the extra headroom inside that...
Being started in a cavernous space is not too helpful to gain an impression of what it will sound like. It did however sound very much like a typical 4 banger, I was hoping that sound deadening inside the car would be superior to the Tacoma Turbo 4 that I drove to get an idea - performance was...
The BMW and my old Outback both had the mechanical full time 4WD, I'm not a fan of CVT not sure how the latest CVT with 4WD version works. However, it seems we both agree full time 4WD is superior at least for driving on paved roads in varying weather conditions
Watched an amazing U tube on full time 4WD vs AWD. I have no knowledge of why Part time AWD may be better for Off Road, that is not my interest, but for the average user, Full time 4WD is superior especially IF there is no loss in MPG.
We have a RAV4 Platinum and 4Runner Sport both with AWD.

Hmmm,
I have a 2022 4Runner TRD Sport with 20" wheels - its 72" to the top of the roof rails, I know because I have a problem garage door height approach and measured it last week. Toyota specs are often in conflict on this. I have not looked at heights for roof racks but everything I have...
It's not a matter of ground clearance, it's the internal floor height and seat position. We have a Rav4 (non hybrid) and 2022 4Runner TRD Sport. You sit down to get in the in the RAV and must step up to get in the 4Runner, can't measure directly, (daughter is using the RAV) but I would say...
When we put our 4Runner in 4WD, unless the road is wet or snowy the wheels shudder since they don't want to turn at the same speed when steering left or right. Thats normal.
So does the fulltime 4WD version have a different differential set up, I guess it does.
OK, I misread the spec for the TRD Sport, its 2WD and part time 4WD that makes more sense. Limited and above get the fulltime 4WD. The sticker of our TRD Sport V6 with a 5 speed is 16 city and 19 highway. We get 19 locally where it's very hilly and 24+ on the highway.
Sorry, but I don't see...
Personally, I'm disappointed with the expected MPG compared to my 4Runner V6 and "old fashioned" simple transmission. Why 4WD rather than AWD, for non-off road versions, it adds complexity to the diff and probably weight.
