I'm running 87 in my 4runner… if it was NA 85 would probably be fine, but with the turbo i wouldn’t want to risk it… plus its new and i wouldn’t want to do something that could be detrimental to the engine.
mine is only the first 2 shifts when its been sitting for a while, then 1 and 2 are smooth.
im hoping its just part of breaking it in.. how many miles do you have on your sr5?
Hey all,
has anyone experienced a hard transmission shift for 1st and 2nd gear when initially starting the 4runner, the transmission shifting smooths out almost instantly after that.
curious if anyone has experience this and if its anything to worry about/is there a fix
im running a limited...
yeah 38 cold is really high.. i noticed on mine that when the tires are inflated to high the vehicle has problems “coasting” at speed and it takes more of the gas pedal to get it up to speed
id recommend checking your tire pressure in the am before the vehicle has been driven.. to get a true...
One thing to be aware of as well...tire pressure, to much psi in the tires it will affect gas milage.
they ship the 4runners at like 50 PSI or something crazy make sure the cold PSI pressure is down to to the recommendations on the driver side door, should help with acceleration and gas mileage.
i ordered the front trail hunter skid for my limited… they only have one of the protection pieces underneath the limited
weight on the box was 24 lbs.. so its 24 lbs or lighter… i think i saw it’s actually closer to 21 lbs… unless im missing something
