Looks good! I went with Sherpa on my 3rd gen Tacoma because I also didn't want to use silicone. Unfortunately, I still had leaking issues when it was heavy rain and eventually, I went the silicone route and haven't had any leaks since. I'd recommend, taking a hose to each mounting point to...
It's been reported that 5.5 quarts puts it right in the middle since you would never be able to get all the oil out of the motor. I would think 6 quarts would be considered overfilled.
Glad to hear you are ok and bummer about the vehicle. I am no adjuster, but I don't believe they will total it. I will say though that I had hail damage on my 3rd gen Tacoma that ended up being a lot and I mean a lot a lot which I thought insurance was going to total but they ended up fixing it...

I could've waited also but decided not to. I know the prices now, but I don't know the prices in spring of 2026. I went through the dealer and ended up with 5.5% at 60 months. I also did a 40K down payment because I didn't want outrageous monthly payments.
Mine came with them too and I had debated about removing them but the risk of damaging the paint has kept me from going through with it. If you do end up, update on how it went.
