Same timeline. Hopefully mid July is accurate. My salesman said the next allocation o f 4Runners are slated to arrive late July-early August. He suspects that the ones being held will be getting pushed out to make room for the incoming ones. Especially since the port installed options still have...
Yeah, I just met with my salesman as my other car was being serviced. He showed that the next allocation of 4Runners aren’t sent to arrive until early to mid August. He suspects based on the tundra holds and Tacoma holds in years past, that the current 4Runners on hold will be pushed out of the...
Mine is in a similar boat. The spreadsheet shows mine as port to dealership and the timeline shows it should be on the rail to Denver. But it also shows it’s still on the qc hold for 56 days from 05/15. From other people’s experiences and their posts it would seem the timelines aren’t accurate...
Oh yeah, you should be able to ask them for a screenshot of the status page. They all have access to it and should be able to provide it to you. Mine for example currently shows “vessel arrival”-04/28 and “port to dealership”-quality hold as of 05/15.
That’s because it’s not. Those of us who have their vehicle being held on the qc hold are being told that it’s directly because of the air dam. It’s even labeled as QC534-Air dam service/replacement.
The spreadsheet will tell you, build phase, factory to port, port to dealer, or dealership. The A, F, and G (ground, usually means arrived at dealership) is on the internal status page that Toyota uses.
A-Allocation or “allocated” as in a vehicle was designed and being built at the factory in Japan
F-Freight as in in the process of being transported from the factory in Japan to the dealership. The sections in it include “factory to port” Japan factory, placed on vessel, vessel arrival at us...
I’ve seen several on these threads where their eta dates dropped off. Some have dropped off and then suddenly randomly appeared at the dealerships. Some are just sitting at the ports or rail yards. Looking at the spreadsheets, upwards of 90% of the trd models are showing factory to port or port...
Yeah unfortunately it’s a double edged kinda situation. Toyota makes reliable good vehicles that sell themselves. Salespersons, unless stellar, are pretty lazy and do the bare minimum. Mine has become that way. Not the first time I’ve used him to buy a vehicle but this experience has shown me...
Oh I totally agree with you.
I’m just trying to keep faith that it’s Toyota and the quality is generally top tier and their vehicles are held up well. I’m really hoping this qc isn’t a sign of a lemon.
I’m in the same boat. I put my allocation request in on 12/12/24. My vehicle was built in March, arrived to the Long Beach port on 04/28 and placed on hold on 05/15. July 15 will be two months. I too am getting it at msrp and my dealerships accessories team is being great working with price mark...
I would guess there is more going on than just the official QC534-Air dam service/repair. I’ve heard that there are supply issues with many port installed options like the Bluetooth jbl speaker on premium packages and the air compressors on Trailhunters etc.
That’s the biggest thing I’ve experienced as well. My dealer has been pretty good about reaching out when I’ve inquired. The problem is that he doesn’t have any info because Toyota is god awful with communication. The lack of communication from Toyota about the qc hold and this whole process is...
