  1. Leaving new 6th gen in 4HI

I live in the north east, where the roads can be a mix of ice/snow and dry pavement. I know for sure that 4HI can be used above 50-55mp, but cannot be engaged above this. I'm looking at the SR5 that doesn't have full time 4WD like the Limited and land cruiser. So I'm wondering if it's...
  2. Leaving new 6th gen in 4HI

Does anybody know if the new Gen 6 works different with the 4HI? Can I leave it in 4HI without risk of damaging anything, like AWD? Or do I need to switch from 2HI to 4HI depending on condition?
  3. Thule Motion XT XL Roof Box on 2025 4Runner - installed photos & MPG (loss) report

It's a handsome looking machine, definitely an upgrade aesthetically from Gen 5.
  4. Owner Review: 2025 4Runner SR5 4x4 w/ 3rd Row Seats - Impressions, Photos, MPG Figures

While I don't know for sure, I highly doubt the new SR5 has dumbed down components, it would probably cost Toyota more logistically to do that. Also, seeing that many of the early mods have been done on the SR5 has me thinking this is pretty much identical to the top trims just without all the...
  5. 6th gen SR5 or TRD Sport? Is the Sport worth higher price?

Yes we are getting the SR5 with heated seats and third row here as standard. I just placed a deposit on one today. One thing I noticed is the lack of color choice on the SR5 in Canada. If we want any color at all, like the heritage blue, we need to jump up to the sport trim. Weirdly though I...
  6. Is transmission in 2025 4Runner 6th gen same as Tacoma or Land Cruiser LC250 ?

From what I understand, the non-hybrid LC 250 sold abroad uses the same engine and transmission as in the new non-hybrid 4Runner. This is also another reason that alleviates some first year buyer concerns, since the engine and transmission is already in use elsewhere.
  7. 3.5" lift kit, 35's, -12 offset wheels on SR5 (17" Fuel D679 Rebel wheel, Nitto Ridge Grappler)

Wow that's great. Really brings out the 3rd gen retro vibes.
  8. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Oh wow that's pretty neat actually. Thanks for the link
  9. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Apparently the 6th Gen third row does not fold. I'm hoping it's removable although I'm going to guess it won't look as polished if removed. I've checked out and test driven the 4 door bronco, trunk space is quite massive, roll bars are quite high up and out of the way to the side.
  10. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

From what I'm reading I believe the 6th Gen third row does not fold.
  11. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Well, you are getting me motivated lol
  12. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Ya could be, maybe they used old data. I wonder if the seats are removable.
  13. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Yes that's exactly what I see on the Canadian website. I'm going to assume they can't be optioned out in this case but will check with the local dealership. That would be quite the letdown if not removable - I feel like the majority of buyers would prefer storage back there than an extra row.
  14. SR5 optional third row or mandatory in Canada?

Like many of you I'm currently contemplating the purchase of a new 6th gen 4runner. I'm priced out of all trims except for the SR5, but I'm seeing that it comes with a third row. Is this third row mandatory, or can I option it out when placing an order at the dealership? I don't need a third...
